Hackaday Prize 2017

Round Three of the Hackaday Prize has begun!

Wheels, wings and walkers is all about open source projects that move. Make AI robotics, environmental drones, or automated devices that will help bring social change to the world we live in.

The 2017 Hackaday Prize consists of 5 challenges plus a Best Product challenge. This year, we’re giving away a ton of prizes. $1,000 will go to 120 of the best projects. That’s $120,000 before we even get to the finals. It’s so great that so many people get to share in the rewards!

Raspberry Pi and CoderDojo Join Forces

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is joining forces with the CoderDojo Foundation, in a merger that will give many more young people all over the world new opportunities to learn how to be creative with technology.

Intro to GLSL Shaders

Shaders are a dry, C-like computer language designed with the main purpose of rendering an image pixel by pixel without sacrificing performance. We can think of shaders as the computer language of light.

What Is CoderDojo?

CoderDojo believes that an understanding of programming languages is increasingly important in the modern world, that it’s both better and easier to learn these skills early, and that nobody should be denied the opportunity to do so! Any young person aged 7 – 17 can join and attend a Dojo for FREE!  At a Dojo they will learn skills such as building a website, creating an app or a game, and explore technology in an informal, creative, and social environment.
